Citizen Collection Station Information

Please remember that before taking refuse to the Citizen Collection Station you must call the city office 806-492-3713. PLEASE do not dump refuse outside the Citizen Collection Station at Block 182. DO NOT dump refuse in front of gate. If you are identified your free privileges will be revoked.

City's Free Dumping--Big Benefit to Residents!

The City of Paducah is now allowing, in case you didn't know, limited free dumping at the Citizens Collections Station (otherwise known as Block 182 or the City Dump by most locals). Each month, residents with a legitimate city services account (water, sewer, garbage) can unload two pickup loads of trash or one trailer load (equivalent or less than two pickup loads). You must first come by the Water Department (City Hall) office with proof of your city account before dumping and register your load of refuse (with your account number) at the city office. This is so the city will have an account of how many trips you have made to the Collection Station per month.

Also please be aware, depending on the time of the month and current active jobs (water or sewer line repair, meter repair, etc.) city employees may not be available to open Block 182 immediately. City repairs, especially emergency repairs, such as water or sewer lines will always take precedence over opening Block 182. The end of the month is an especially busy time for city employees as they are making meter reading runs. These must be made during a specific time frame and they cannot always take time out to open Block 182.

Remember there are several items that are prohibited from being dumped at Block 182: Tires, Batteries, Oils, Paints, Liquids, Acids, Hazardous Materials, Radiological Materials, Medical Waste.

Accepted Waste: Limbs, Brush, Appliances, Furniture, Mattress/Box Springs, Carpet, Sheetrock, Lumber.

Also remember common household items cannot be dumped per TCEQ rules.

The City of Paducah is not responsible for accidents/damages.

It might be a good rule of thumb to call the City Office before you have a load ready to dump, especially if you have hired someone to cut limbs, grass, or pick up trash from your residence, to make sure someone will be available to open the Collections Station.

The new dumping policy is a huge benefit to Paducah and its citizens. In keeping with the city/county push to keep Paducah clean, the free dumping will allow residents the opportunity to really get a jump on cleaning up their homes, yards, and lots.

Water Disconnection Information

Beginning May 2018, water bills must be paid by the 22nd of each month instead of the 25th to avoid service interruption. If services are disconnected, a disconnection fee of $25 will apply as well as a reconnect fee of $60.
